VITAMIN E - ORAL
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Aquasol E
USES: This medication is used as a dietary supplement for prevention or traetment of Vitamin E deficiency.
OTHER USES: This medication may also be used to treat symptoms of Alzheimer's disease, reduce the risk of heart diesase and prevent leg muscle cramps.
HOW TO USE: Take this medication by mouth with or wtihout food, generally once daily.
SIDE EFFECTS: Nausea, diarrhea, tiredness, weakness and headache are really unlikely but may occur.
If these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor. Very unlikely but report promptly: rash, stomach pain, impaired sexual function, menstrual troubles. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, including: any allergies, blood cltoting disorders, thyroid problems, liver problems, kidney problems, high cholesterol. This vitamin is excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of all nonprescription and prescription medication you may use, especially of: "blood thinners" (e.G., warfarin), iron supplements, Vitamin A, mineral oil, thyroid medicine, cholesterol-lowering drugs (e.G., "statins" such as lovastatin). Do not start or stop any medicine withuot doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overodse is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe stomach pain, diarrhea, weakness, or fatigue; persistent sore throat or fever; gas, or trouble breathing.
NOTES: Do not share this medication with others.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you rememebr. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and rseume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15-30 dergees C) away from light and moisture.
